Description

The Renault 5 Turbo or R5 Turbo was a high-performance hatchback automobile launched by the French manufacturer Renault at the Brussels Motor Show in January 1980. The car was primarily designed for rallying, but was also sold as a street version in order to homologate the rally car.
Once the initial Turbo 1 homologation models were produced, a second version aptly named Turbo 2 was introduced using more stock Renault 5 parts. A total of 3167 R5 Turbo 2s were manufactured during a six-year R5 Turbo production run. With a top speed of 200 km/h (120 mph) and 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.9 seconds.[5], the R5 Turbo 2 was very special.
This iconic 80s mid-engine rally car is a magnificent example and has just undergone a £30,000 plus, rebuild and refurbishment with many parts being supplied new as original from a specialized French suppliers and remanufacturers.
